There are three speed indicator devices (SID) currently operating in the Parish, funded by The Parish Council. SID 1 is located at the western end of the village near The Wellesley pub. SID 2 is located at the eastern end of the village next to Sutton Lane. SID 3 is on Seagry Road near the entrance to the village.

Monthly Reports 2025

Each SID spends a month facing the incoming traffic and is then turned round facing the traffic leaving the village for the next month. There is an established pattern that traffic that can see their speed presented back to them are more likely to stick to the 30mph speed limit. The SID’s measure and records the traffic in both directions. The reports generated by the devices are sent to the Police every month.
