Wessex Water Mains Replacement Project

Letter to residents from Wessex Water:

Water mains replacement project – Sutton Benger

We are planning to replace the ageing water main in Sutton Benger which over recent years has been prone to leaks. This will ensure you have improved water quality and a more reliable source for years to come.

How will the work affect you?

Work will start on Monday 3rd April for approximately 13 weeks, at the junction of Sutton Benger High street  and Seagry Road. This will require three-way traffic lights incorporating a crossing point to allow safe crossing to the school . As we continue along the highstreet the traffic lights will change to two-way signals and a further set of three-way lights on the junction of Sutton Lane. The works will finish before the river crossing bridge that leads into Christian Malford

Access to all properties, emergency vehicles and refuse collection will be maintained. There may be some noise disruption while we carry out the work, with every effort made to keep this to a minimum.

What should you do?
You do not need to do anything. You can continue to use your water supply as normal unless we tell you otherwise.

Anything else you need to know?

If you have any questions, please call our customer services team on 0345 600 4 600 quoting the above reference (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, emergencies at other times). Alternatively, there’s plenty of advice online including frequently asked questions and help from our web chat team. Visit wessexwater.co.uk

If you are a business or other non-household property, you will need to contact your water retailer with any enquiries. You can find their contact details on your most recent water bill.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by our work.

Yours faithfully

Jamie Prangle
